Christmas Market
Hailed as ‘Europe’s most original Christmas market’ by British tour operators, the Christmas Market stretches over two kilometres. It includes stalls, chalets, attractions, activities and terraces.
Grand-Place and Electrabel Nights
The 2011 edition promises to be a bumper one for Electrabel Nights, featuring new technologies and special illuminations. A sculpture in light forming a spiral, inspired by the golden ratio, will be installed in the centre of the Grand-Place.
Guest of honour : Greece
Greece is the guest of honour at Winter Wonders 2011. It will host 8 chalets – one per province – showcasing the expertise of its artisans. There will also be gastronomic specialities to bring some much-needed warmth to our winter.
The attractions
Baroque roundabouts featuring fantasy characters spin round all day, moving their passengers through space and time. The Big Wheel allows visitors to ascend to the skies for a panoramic view of all the illuminations.
