Tintin & comic strip – related hotels

Le Métropole

The Métropole appears in Hergé’s The Seven Crystal Balls and in Vanhamme & Denayer’s Wayne Shelton: Hare Hoogheid Honesty (in Dutch - Son altesse Honesty in French) (Her Highness Honesty).

This prestigious hotel that was built in the 19th century is located in Brussels city centre, just 10 minutes on foot from Grand-Place/Grote Markt and from Brussels Central Railway Station. The setting, which makes for the perfect combination between past and present, is truly unique. A marble and gilding entrance hall, an extraordinary baroque hotel pub: hardly surprising to learn that these premises inspired Hergé and many other artists.

The Amigo

The rooms in this prestigious hotel have been embellished with nothing but Tintin-related touches and items: small humorous details that brighten up the large bathrooms.

The Amigo hotel ranks among the most prestigious hotels in Brussels and as a firm favourite among many celebrities and heads of government leaders. Located in the very heart of Brussels, just a stone’s throw from Grand Place/Grote Markt and the main tourist sites. Very nearby is a Tintin fresco in rue de l’Étuve/Stoofstraat, just across from Manneken Pis.
