Tintin and Brussels
Shooting for Tintin: The Secret of the Unicorn officially got underway on 26 January 2009. The screen adaptation of this Tintin adventure by Steven Spielberg and Peter Jackson is based on the scripts of the three albums that marked the arrival of Captain Haddock in Hergé’s world.
Even though Hergé tried to smooth out some of the unduly glaring Brussels references, there is no doubt that the author derived inspiration from his own everyday life and the world he lived in.
The official Brussels guides are on hand to escort you on a leisurely promenade to the heart of the comic book. This itinerary that criss-crosses the city from one fresco to the next is a rather special key to understanding our city.
