Frequently Asked Questions?
The hostels welcome guest of all ages. Nevertheless, guests under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a responsible adult and are not allowed to stay in dorms except if they are part of a group. And guests over 35 and families with children are asked to book private rooms to ensure a peaceful cohabitation/stay to all guests.
Length of stay
Minimum and maximum stay requirements in our hostels may vary. Although most of the hostels have a restriction of a maximum stay of 7 nights. And on certain times of the year a minimum stay of 2 nights may be required.
How long in advance do I need to book?
For group stays we recommend that you book in advance; the sooner the better.
Group bookings have priority over other reservations and therefore some of the youth hostels do not allow individual reservations more than one month in advance.
Arrival / Departure
Check-in (hour of arrival) and check-out (hour of departure) times depends from one hostel to another.
Late check-in and early check-out requests must be discussed individually with each hostel.
A luggage room or lockers are available in all the hostels (a supplement might apply).
Safety / Security
Everything has been implemented by the youth hostels to assure the security of their guests: 24h/24 access to the hostels and rooms through key cards, security cameras equipment, 24h/24 reception and/or night watchman,…
The rooms of the hostels are daily cleaned and for the comfort of the hostels’ guests, the hostels’ staff implement a lock out time during which you will have limited access to your rooms.
This rule does not apply for some room categories (all information can be found on the hostels’ website).
Shared bathrooms / Private bathrooms
Some of the hostels have shared bathrooms and some have en-suite bathrooms (all information can be found on our website).
Bed linen / Towels
Bed linen is always included.
Towels are available at the reception.
Free Wi-Fi is available in our selection of hostels.
Breakfast is always included for groups.
For individual travellers, breakfast is included in all of our hostels except at the 3 Fontaines Youth Hostel (must be ordered 1 day before).
All of the hostels have a traveller’s kitchen at disposal except 3 Fontaines Youth Hostel nevertheless there is a sports bar that is open all day.
Youth hostel pass
You don’t need to have a membership card when you stay in our selection of hostels.
Some of our hostels offer member advantages through the Hostelling International membership card.
Our hostels accept payment in cash, via bank/wire transfer (for group reservations only) and credit card.
Booking changes and cancellations
By contacting our customer service (see Contact us) you will be able to modify your room reservation. If possible your booking will be modified according to the availability and applicable cancellation policy.
