Victor Horta would have been 150 years old in 2011. An ideal opportunity to celebrate this genius of Art Nouveau by turning the spotlight on his works and the importance of his heritage. Grand townhouses, large stores, country residences, a Palais des Beaux Arts (Fine Arts), a Gare Centrale (main railway station), and more. This inventive builder also reformed the teaching of architecture. And the new spirit that he inspired in the early 20th century undoubtedly has something to do with the abundance of talented designers who make Brussels so proud today.
