SHOPPING
Brussels is full now of places to eat sustainable: ethical boutiques and designers, markets, bakeries, organic grocery stores and restaurants, there is no shortage of places to feast responsibly.
Among the festive activities, Slow Food events are becoming increasingly popular in Brussels, culminating in "Goûter Bruxelles" week (in September) which turns the city into the capital of conviviality and healthy eating each year. 2012 will be a special year in this respect, since it has been designated as the "year of the sustainable gastronomy' with the event Brusselicious, a gourmet odyssey to (re )discover local flavours.
